Receipt Intake
Drop a day's retail receipts as PDFs or photos and get one editable line-item table, reconciled against every receipt's printed total and exported as the buying sheet, XLSX or CSV, in the columns each retailer needs.
The problem
A buying run ended with a stack of forty or more receipts and a buying sheet that needed every line from every one of them typed in before the warehouse could receive the stock. Typing was slow, and the errors were the expensive kind: a half size became a whole size, a K became an H in a style code, a line got skipped, and nothing downstream could tell. No off-the-shelf OCR tool knew the retailer's sheet format or checked its own reading against the receipt total.
The tool
- Takes a day's receipts as PDFs, scans, or phone photos, each read on its own so one failure does not stop the batch
- Normalizes sizes and style codes and merges duplicates across receipts
- Reconciles every receipt's lines against its printed item count and total, and shows any variance on that receipt
- Flags a field it could not read confidently on the cell, and stops the export while a style code has two spellings
- Exports the buying sheet as XLSX or CSV in the retailer's own columns
About the data below: the receipts, products, style codes and prices in this demo are invented, a fixed sample run, not real purchases. The demo skips the model call and starts from a ready-made extraction result; the normalizing, merging, reconciling, collision check and both exports are the real code, and the files it downloads are real files.
